Yeah, was dissapointed Stipe didn't really turn it on in the third after that knock down.
but if I'm being honest, that's DC's style, he's hard to hit, throws from weird angles, and when close grapples and it makes it look sloppy. But they are very technical.
Both guys played it safe because the chance they would get caught if they didn't was high.

Not a horrible event, but lackluster at the end of the night. Anything else worth watching on tonight?

What do you guys think of that fight? If I'm being completely honest, I thought it was sloppy and neither guy really seemed able to make a big push for the win because they were both exhausted in round 3. All Cormier did was try to through the right out of the clinch and all Stipe did after the 3rd round was to pop a few shots and then hold him stall against the fence.

I might be wrong on that but that's how it felt as I was watching it. Any thoughts?
Yeah you might be wrong.

Anyone can see Stipe did his homework and did everything he could to win. Including going for a finish.

But with a competitor like DC it's a risk.

He almost had him finished but DC got saved by the bell.

People can say the eyepoke came into play but considering DC and his history on the matter.

*Shrug gif*

Stipe showed why he is a champion.

And I believe he is one of the Greats for it.

If Adesnaya wins this next fight he should be considered the greatest Jewish mma fighter, surpassing Weidman.

And that's if he isn't #1 already.

@Lars Soros your thoughts?

I think it's shameful for a fighter to go back to a corner, not realize he had been knocked down. Ask his corner if he had, and they not admit that he had been. I also think it's shameful for the same fighter to tell his corner "I can't see" and them just ignore him so they can send him back out for another 2 rounds.

But these guys don't want none.

DC ain't taking that.

Jones ain't taking nobody with skill either.

Both are on the tale ends IMO.
Didn't know Jones was still fighting. Last I heard he was trying to renogotiate his current contract days after his last arrest. Claimed he'd sit on the sidelines for 3 years if necessary, lol.

There were a lot of little things in this fight. Some feints that suggested they really had a great read on one another, some high level grip fighting in the clinch, and some decent blocking, but not a terribly fan friendly fight. They both looked as old as I feel.

I thought that show was cancelled. Also, isn't that show on typically at like 8pm PST? Pluto TV has it on just about 24/7 with reruns though.
I have no idea. I haven’t watched Cops in 25 years. My answer was just an homage to our friend jason73 @jason73 (who picked up on it immediately)
