engineering ring?
The Engineer's Ring is a ring worn by members of the United States Order of the Engineer, a fellowship of engineers who must be a certified Professional Engineer or graduated from an accredited engineering program (or be within one academic year of graduation to participate).

"Its not okay, but I understand."

- Chris Rock
it wasn't unforeseeable.

that's all. I don't understand that response, and I'd never respond that way in a dispute...

but if you call the guy holding a gun a pussy who doesn't have the balls to shoot you, then this isn't your first time escalating conflicts to the point that a gun is pointed at you.

The worst customer to deal with is anyone who wears an engineering ring. Second is the 50-70 year old white male. Anyone else runs a distant third.
yes on the PE ring. I only know one guy who wears one who isn't a complete "smartest guy in the room"

Why watch something like this?
For me...

It's a reminder to pick the right battles. You never know how fucked up someone is in the head.

It sounds like this argument has been going on for a long time, with each side being stubborn as fuck. If the husband and wife had swallowed their pride and taken the high road, they'd be alive today.

Yeah, sounds like they had clashed before. There's no way you kill someone over snow.

I don't claim to be an expert in executing neighbors with guns, but is it normal to shoot someone that many times at close range without killing them right away? He was basically point blank and the one in the road was still moving around. Am I just brainwashed from movies or was he about a good a shot as he was a neighbor?

it's almost human nature to not want to kill people. can't explain it, seen it a bunch. Might have been trying to scare them with the first couple of shots

and it's difficult to put follow up shots on target when you're ripping them off that fast.

and it takes people a couple seconds to realize they're being shot at. That lady was yelling "we've got you on camera" when shots were ringing out. if you don't hit something important (bones, brain, pelvis) with a handgun they might not know they've been shot right away.

EDIT - not that it matters much, but hollow-points don't expand well against heavy clothing

Sounds like you have a lot of experience in these situations. Remind me not to shovel snow in the wrong direction around you!

i'm not a bad-ass, but I used to work with some. :)

the victims probably didn't even cognitively process that the neighbor was shooting at them for 2-3 seconds.
that's why them continuing to antagonize after he leveled the weapon is pretty telling. It should cause a full stop, unless you've had guns waved at you for calling people a pussy -at least once- before in your life.

I know you are not a badass. We all know that with great certainty. I was just trying to be nice and give you a lift.

it's also possible that they're both just reflexively assholes, and the result of the 'full cognitive stop' at seeing the handgun was to fling shit

It's not like the movies unless you shut their lights out right away
