Nobody has ever survived an ejection past mach 3. And Mav did one at Mach 10? And he was OK enough just to walk to a diner that looked to be in bumfuck Idaho?
He took off from San Diego. By the time he crashed he was traveling at 7900 mph. He'd be able to fly from San Diego to Maine in like 20 minutes at that speed, and that's discounting all the miles traveled through the previous mach stages.
I'd have to do a lot more math to figure what a realistic point on the globe would be for his crash landing, but I assure you it isn't a 50's style diner serving hamburgers and vanilla fucking shakes in Shitkick, North Dakota.
He dreamed about his buddy Ice - who is in worse physical shape than Biden yet he's commander of the Pacific Fleet who still texts his buddy from flight school?
He dreams about Penny. The admirals's daughter who got away. Who also lives in a house very similar to Charlie's bungalow and also drives a gray Porsche.

A friend of mine went through the Top Gun program. I didn't know him when he did it - met him after when he was racing hydroplanes.

Finally watched this fucking masterpiece 10/10. Legit teared up like a puff! Funny thing is I never saw the OG Top Gun until a couple months ago. I liked the new one more and it's very rewatchable...

I was watching some story on you tube of a pilot that was going under mach 1 that ejected and he still broke like 6 bones and exploded veins in his entire face he almost drowned too.
Look what happened to Goose in a flat spin, or Chuck Yeager in the Right Stuff in an F-104.
You can't eject out of anything at speeds of mach+.
