Danish explorer Ejnar Mikkelsen, before and after spending two years stranded in Greenland with another explorer, Iver Iversen, from 1910 to 1912. After battling extreme cold and starvation, the two were rescued by a Norwegian sealer. He lived to the age of 90, dying in 1971.
