So in. Only had one class so far, but my coach was jim fitz, an awesome dude that I've met from viewing parties, bbqs and what not at the gym

A bunch of coaches there. On the jj side, I'll be training under mike pagano, Sean shorty rock santella, and dan/jim miller

SAJ @Vicious Hellbows Good to see you drumming up topics in here.... On this forum not many guys train unfortunately (but they do have a lot of opinions about MMA.... Even a topic in cage side asking if BJJ is dead.... I laughed). You'll get interested parties in here when EBI events come around, or during SUG announcements.

Guys I know who regularly train are Darqnezz @Darqnezz SC MMA MD @SC MMA MD kneeblock @Kneeblock ECC170 @ECC170 Leigh @Leigh Star-Lord @Star-Lord.... There are others, but I'm drawing a blank.

Check out the Grapplers Bucket List thread, the Promotions thread, and Who Would You Want to Train With thread

Will do bro. I had no reason to come here before I started to train though so I can see why others don't come here. I've already realised there's only a handful of the same people who contribute to this sub forum :/

I train directly under Brad Strain, but thanks to being at a school owned by his father in law I get to train with Carlos Machado pretty frequently. Between traveling and dropping in at other schools and people coming here to train striking with Wonderboy, I have gotten to train with quite a few high level grapplers. I am pretty sure I posted at least some of them in the grapplers bucket list thread, but I will check later to be sure. Glad to see some new faces in this sub-forum

I run my own gym. My coach is David Onuma (6 time European champion). He's in London, so I travel quite a way to train with him.

theres only one direction... up

its a slow burn, but im hard pressed to see this site not being the industry leader down the road unless other sites are able to drastically change their technology and moderate very disturbing bully cultures. i think the latter will be hard to do, which means as people mature, they are going to get sick of it and find their way here

I plead "used to train" sadly. I'm 3 years off the mat due to first a torn ACL and more recently a frozen shoulder. My original instructor was my good friend Krishna Mirjah, a BB under Matt Serra.

Frozen shoulder is no fun. I dealt with that a little over two years ago- it sucked and recovery was a pain

Leigh @Leigh how did I not know that you were a de la Riva guy? That's awesome.... I've trained with some of his black belts in the past here (William Bittencourt, Batata, Rafa).

Report @DrizztDoUrden I remember the Rhino team, I grew up in NYC...My nickname was because of an old band I was in, when I started training in 99 one of coaches referred to me as Rhino and it's stuck with me into Jiu Jitsu. There is a Spartan team here that I've seen at a bunch of tournaments

I am a black belt, got mine in 2014, I've been actively coaching the last two years, but I'm getting back into competing in 2017. Prior to that, for 5 years I was a national tournament director and head official for a tournament here in America

I did post a here and posted pics recently... And the other day I was promoted from a black belt with a white sash to a black belt with a red sash (something Royce does, Caique too, and a few others in the non IBJJF belt system).

Well if anyone is in Central Florida, come check us out www.6levelsorlando.com
