wow. a lot to unpack there...

so a former (2018) freshman RB was on a field trip to go to a play, and when they got back to the parking garage on campus, he killed 3 members of the football team and injured two other people.

and the killer was the subject of a hazing investigation as a freshman that was dropped due to non-cooperation...and had a misdemeanor weapon possession charge earlier in the year that he didn't report.

did I ;tldr right?

Pretty crazy, eh?

I suppose plenty of details have yet to be uncovered. There was a manhunt for the suspect Sunday night. The entire campus was on lockdown. He was apparently apprehended without further incident.

It sounds like the shooting took place on a bus after students had returned from a field trip.

I didn't know about the hazing angle.

Shooting occured around 10:16 Sunday night.

Jones was taken into custody around 11 AM on Monday.

Dude had some serious issues. His removal from the football team almost assuredly played into why he walked down the bus and shot the people that he did. I'm not saying that they had it coming but I have little doubt that he was "bullied" for lack of a better word.

Just shitty that it came to this.

I'm sure we'll get more details.
One of the injured students was also a football player. The other injured student was a female.

All 4 football players shot were juniors.
The shooter was a freshman in 2018 and that was the only year he played - so their "careers" didn't line up. One of the dead was a transfer from Wisconsin.

Bullying is the obvious assumption as it certainly looks like the players were targeted. My assumption is the injured female caught a stray bullet.
