PFL

When the Professional Fighters League officially relaunches next month, its logo won’t be the only new look it will be featuring.

MMAFighting.com has learned that the promotion has instituted its own uniform policy, however, unlike the UFC’s recent deal with Reebok, this one will allow fighters to feature their own sponsors while competing.

Below are the details, according to a deck that was distributed to fighters and their camps in March and subsequently obtained by MMAFighting.com:

2. Sponsor logos can only be placed on specific locations (see photo).

3. PFL will outfit and supply each fighter with official competition gloves and shorts for all league fight events throughout the regular season, playoffs and championship.

5. PFL will grant each fighter the right to sell up to two sponsors to receive logo placement on official competition shorts.

6. Fighters will be permitted to feature up to two sponsor logos on all weigh-in and walk-in apparel and headwear provided sponsor logos are consistent with their competitive short sponsors.

7. Fighters will have the opportunity to change sponsors and logos three times throughout the season: Once before the regular season,
once before the playoffs and once before the championship.

8. All Fighter sponsor logo integration must adhere to the PFL’s sponsor

It just keeps getting better and better. I feel like they probably shouldn't reveal this a month before the first event, but what do I know.

Why the UFC didn’t do something similar is beyond me. Well...the answer is pure greed, but the point still stands.
reebok are idiots and the UFC are greedy. if they'd put spaces all over the gear for the fighter's sponsors the positive publicity they'd have got from that would've only helped them, and having other names side by side with theirs still reflects well on them because they are far more well known than a lot of the companies that would be signing up to be on UFC gear. What kind of competition where they really worried about? seems like they wanted exclusivity and fuck the fighters, fuck the fans, fuck MMA, just take away the fighter's sponsors and make far less back in return but almost entirely for themselves :D I really think they dropped the ball in every way imaginable

Not sure if I dislike this or like it.

Its kind of a cool ideal I guess. Still trending in the direction of fighters having less control.
Its their own fault though. They continue to do jack shit about it so WAR PFL I guess?

I can't believe this hasn't been criticised heavily.

Since the PFL tournament was announced I've been asking about disclosed fighter pay because I just have a strong feeling the WSOF crew (now PFL) are in this to make a killing not to actually promote MMA in a cool way, and I bet they lowball the fighters by dangling the incentive of a million dollar jackpot in front of them.

This rushed uniform idea is just a cash grab and directly taking from fighters once again.

PFL roster revealed: Six of these 72 fighters will be millionaires by year's end

No detailed detailed breakdown on pay but it lays it out a little bit in this article.

I've been following it closely for quite awhile, I just haven't got any info on fighter pay for the actual fights. I told Alex Nicholson about it as soon as I heard and he announced recently he's signed up for it which is great, he's facing ... Jack May? I think they reshuffled the fights and made that matchup for June.

6 months ago I woulda' been with ya brotha...but the fact is all these "Alpha Male" fighters aren't
doing a single fucking thing to stop getting fucked in the ass. You got a female Leslie Smith with
more balls then the entire UFC roster.

I just don't give a fuck anymore how much they get fucked over.

Apparently they like it...and if they Like it...I Love it! AWESOME!

I hear Amazon has a sale on Vaseline. So I hope they have Amazon Prime
