Or people are getting wise to these "sales." Unless you have a price graph that shows there's an actual discount to the real price, it's the same old game of spiking prices beforehand to then put them on sale.

Even when I do find things depicted as available next day, it gets delayed and shows up 2 or 3 days later. For years, that would happen maybe once or twice a year. Now its every third, if not every other, order that ends up delayed.
Ah, I see
I barely use it

The "deals" suck ass. I want to buy a power bank and they only took off 2 dollars. They took off 46 cents off another item I was looking at lol.

Prime day has been mostly an overpriced garage sale of chinese junk for years. There are bargains to be had, but they are few and far between and sifting through all the bullshit isn't worth it.

^^^This is 100% true.

every fuckin time i order something for next day delivery it is "out for delivery" then around 630 i get a message that it is delayed due to some bullshit and it shows up 2-3 days later. it defeats the purpose of ordering it to be delivered the next day .if i have to wait 3 days i can just go to the store and buy it. amazon used to be on the ball with their delivery times . that is literally what you are paying them for. this plus the deals arent so shit hot anymore and people are pretty broke these days and its no wonder sales are down

i have actually been buying things online from walmart.ca lately.they use fedex and the packages are dropped right at my door . some of their items are ridiculously cheap .i bought a bunch of camping and fishing gear from them and it was half the cost of amazon. the folding chairs were ozark trail for 9.99 and i think my tackle box was 19.99. the chairs were 35 bucks on amazon

Another cool feature with walmart is I can order an item that is in heavy demand and they will hold it for pick up at a store. But I have to buy a 35 dollars minimum iirc. I bought one of these knives for pick up when they kept running out in stores.

Another not-Amazon option I've been pleasantly surprised with: acehardware.com -- network of franchised mom and pops with reasonable prices. The 1-2 versus 3-4 day shipping tradeoff doesn't bother me.

Back in the day if it didn't arrive on time they would credit your account for the shipping, those days are long gone.

I used to order stuff at like 4am and I would have it by 9am. Even with same day now I will get stuff until like 8pm or the next day

Imagine what they'd have been like (especially with all the Chinese products) if they'd gone through with that retarded idea of listing how much tariffs added to the price.

After Helene, Amazon didn't deliver anything in my area for almost a month. I contacted their customer support and asked if they'd be bumping out my subscription due to the lack of service. They said "no". I tried explaining to them that I way paying for a service they weren't providing, and even the supervisor was said "tough shit". Thankfully, my subscription had renewed the month prior, so I just contested the charge and my credit card was immediately credited. It was on my chase Amazon visa, too. As soon as shit returned to normal, I activated the subscription again.

Fuck amazon.

Some far nothing I actually want is part of a prime deal
That is the case for me more often than not. I have a handful of items in my wish list that I don't need, but if I ever got a good enough deal on, I would buy. And nothing there is listed on Prime

Same I think the algorithm doesn't show prime deals on stuff in your wishlist. The figure you'll pull the trigger at some point no reason to give you a deal on top.

Do you ever search for the item you want under the shopping tab in your browser? Often times you will find out that any given "sale price" is just the norm everywhere, or that the item is cheaper through another vendor. I use Duck Duck Go and occasionally use that feature. It's pretty handy. Google has it too, but fuck Google.
