It's not that I don't understand, it's just that I don't understand. Wasn't there a lower-ranked UFC fighter bothering him recently for a fight? Why go outside the roster at this point? What's the angle?

They were probably looking to bring this guy in regardless. Just waiting to find a fight and one popped up
