I actually liked balut when I had it but it's been a long time. I need to try again. We lived in the Philippines for almost 5 years
I also love pickled pig's feet, hash, Vienna sausages, raw oysters, fried chicken gizzards and hearts, corned beef hash from a can, liver and onions, all kinds of pickled eggs (I think I have 4-5 different jars in my fridge lol), and even pineapple on pizza occasionally

hash and corned beef hash are very different things
bbq hash is an SC thing, primarily. made with leftover pig parts and pig liver. incredible over rice
corned beef hash is obviously made with beef, but the stuff in the can is a delicacy that too many snobyy folks turn there noses up to
it is delicious, only real drawback is how long it takes to make it crispy!
but that is enough time to make some grits and eggs to go with it

It's not bad at all. I like the coagulated blood chunks that Vietnamesers put in lots of their soups, too. Boudin can have some funky stuff in it, too, and it's great.
