Chael Sonnen set out on a path to “Make Grappling Great Again,” and while that slogan may not sit well with everyone, Sonnen’s Submission Underground promotion is two events in and already building a large fan base. With rumblings of Submission Underground 3 starting even before Sunday’s event; Sonnen seems to have carved out the perfect place in the developing realm of professional grappling.

I submit that I've been grappling with the underground notion that we need to develop a professional realm that will get a good hold of the large fan base. These events must catch wrestling for us all. God I'm corny.

I dig anything that gets sub grappling into a more public audience, but I'm also leary of the fact that it will get a lot of ignorant uneducated trolls. I can see it now.... "Did you see that some guy named Garry Tonon said that he can beat Conor MacGregor? MacGregor will kill him"... Or "Jon Jones is the best, he can beat that Gordon Ryan guy"...... We hear this stupidity now with the boxer vs MMA fighter matchups, I don't need it with my BJJ/Sub Grappling community
