Hardcores have been clammering about no tape delay. The reason they tape delay events(especially international) is because they put it in better times slots. Better ratings. I've said this over and over.

Bellator simply doesn't have the brand recognition to make people want to chase its product. It needs to bring its product to the people.

I'm with non tape delay for the states, but tape delay for International cards will allow them to salvage the best ratings they can in the states.

I found Bellator deciding to air its next two international events live to be an interesting experiment. I am well aware that this card had virtually no names, but fact is Bellator international events are their lowest rated events(per Jed I Goodman), especially when air mid day.

It's no surprise that the lowest drawing Bellator events in the states have been international events. It shouldn't be a surprise that taking them off prime time slots will allow for ever worse ratings.

This event didnt get enough media coverage on this side of the pond.

How do free international Fight Night events do for the UFC?

Aren't the ones that are at off times for the U.S. usually on Fight Pass?

Not always no.

Often the events end up being held at strange times for their location just so they can be televised for a Western audience.

Hopefully, it's just because the fight card isn't as stacked. If 177 and 179 don't do well though, expect international cards to go back to tape delay.

For some stupid reason, they decided to make a re-match of the most boring fight they've ever had.
For some even stupider reason, they put it on as a main event, as the promotoin for the whole event. Then they stacked it with a bunch of no name recognition fighters, and no shit it was the lowest rating ever.

If wasn't only Bellator that had low ratings, UFC had low ratings for the PPV pre lims as well, im sure the PPV main wasnt as good as the previous PPVs.

Im guessing they are trying to build their fighters up, once a no name possiblity becomes a house hold name?
