I thought Bellator Dynamite had great presentation value. Very creative and creates some solid hype unlike the boxing generic boxing entrance the other mma promos use. It really adds some flair and entertainment to the event like Pride FC did back in the day. Good to see Scott Coker wanting to take Bellator in this direction

Started off with a great homage to ancient battle throughout the world. And not just gladiators..

The arena looked great with the mma cage next to the kickboxing ring. Both conveyed in separate colours for a nice contrast.

Lenne Hardt was like her Pride FC self with her crazy intros!

The all Japanese all fighter intro was back!! Complete with the whole light show and fireworks to the hype the night's event.

Cut to a little history lesson video of how MMA came to be and the legends that made it.

a 4 person tournament.. that didn't pan out due to injury but props on giving it a shot

Fighters being allowed to wear whatever sponsor they want and whatever outfit they want to convey their personal character.

Mo allowed to wear the crown, cape and medallion

Bellator even encouraging personality via their tale of the tape including the crown

Mike Bronzoulis allowed to wear the Greek Gladiator outfit in his intro

Tito with his army opening complete with veterans and fog!

Paul Daley with his explosives countdown complete with bomb sound.

the ramp lit up and a nice camera angle for the fighter coming out.

We got to see some mma

and some female/ male kickboxing

Jimmy Smith @Jimmy Smith and Sean Grande did a solid job as commentating the mma portion

it was nice to have Mauro's famous voice and Quadros commentating the Glory part of the night

Also pretty interesting to have 2 different ring announcers too

Good they added a female to the cast too so it wasn't an all male team. and good to see her not stationary in the stands but on the ramp too.

An announcement that was actually worthwhile!

Fedor returns with a creative entrance that had the screens move up like the other fighters

All in all a great imaginative set!

I honestly can't think of a better put on show in recent history. There was so much flavour and it had a great positive vibe. Before that, I always found the Bellator production to be pretty cheap and corny but the match-ups were still entertaining. That show was a real turning point in the right direction and through co-promoting with all of these other organizations I think they could be onto something very special which is inspiring.... and not much in the mma world had been inspiring as of late.

Scott Coker went above and beyond with this event. He sent a clear message that he's not just in this game to participate. He wants Bellator to be a strong rival to, and perhaps someday surpass, UFC as the top MMA promotion. If he keep this up, I can easily see it happening in the next few years. It's only a matter of time before more fighters start to jump ship once their contracts are up.

^ I agree i hope they continue in this direction for the future. They need a more solid theme song like the Pride Anthem to start it off though.

and possibly Antonio Inoki around to slap people to start off the festivities

Awesome thread lookoutawhale @lookoutawhale. You nailed it. The opening ceremony set the tone for the night, MMA legends everywhere, the walkouts were great, Lenne Hardt brought that nostalgia, and although the fights weren't the greatest...switching between MMA (Jimmy Smith) & kickboxing (Mauro Ranallo), was entertaining. I thought the entire thing was epic and I can't wait for the next one. I think Bellator really has something special with these Dynamite cards, and now they're going to be co-promoting with Samurai. Coker has put the UFC on notice. I'll be curious to see when the UFC makes an attempt at something like this, and tries to claim it as their own...which tends to be their M.O.

That would be awesome. You have to catch a slap before taking your seat.

yeah it was a great scene.

The only hesitation i got was from Sakikabara running the Japan show. It was said he had ties with the Yakuza and that was one of the reasons Pride got taken down on Fuji television there. Not sure if hes the right dude to team up with again. and Jerry Millen from what Bas has said. They need to stay away from that dude too. :anguished:

I got the immediate impression that the event production staff from Fuji TV had a lot to do with the production.
