I believe when you create a thread, there's a "thread tool" for "add to calendar" that will add it based on the title of your thread...so you name your thread what you want showing on the calendar, which will then be a link to the thread.

one thing I'd suggest that would make me check out the calendar more often would to make a more mobile-friendly format for viewing on a phone... maybe just a list with the dates as bolder headings?

Moving this week and it’s been hell. Been working from 7am to 11pm for three days straight and then trying to get 20 min on here before I crash. Hopefully I have more time next week. Sorry all.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but in this case, no need for a new one imo. The calendar is now up to date for July and August for UFC, Bellator, and PFL events, so Wild @Wild you can promote our summer calendar. I got lucky with some time off right when I needed to do the Monster's schedule.

I think--and a mod can jump in here with a different idea--that whoever sees that a full card is out/updated for a live thread that doesn't have it yet should report my post (the second one in the thread "reserved for fight card") and in the report give the link to the card on wikipedia or whatever.

This way we have a full calendar on display even though full cards haven't been announced yet, and whatever mod is looking at reports can update the post...I have reported my own posts before when something needed to be fixed after the edit window was closed, and it was taken care of -- so I hope that was ok and that this is a good idea? (I'm not talking about personal posts, just Monster's stuff)

Hello again everyone. We once again have a full schedule of events coming up. Some difficulties:

1. UFC event numbering is messed up due to an uncertain television schedule. For instance, we already have a Fight Night 172 thread, but FN 172 ended up changing to a UFC on ESPN, and now they are planning to use that number again. Eye vs. Calvillo is either FN 172 or ESPN 10 -- I am seeing it different in different places.

2. Mods/admins are down a man, but if we post in advance to fill up the calendar, we will have to report the threads to be updated with the fight card.

So the question is, do you want us to fill up the calendar with stubby generic event threads that just say UFC Fight Night or UFC 25x, or continue to leave them until the last minute or week of for now?

Upcoming announced UFC dates: 6/13, 6/20, 6/27, 7/11, 7/15, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1, 8/15.

First off, wow. Thank you for helping keep everybody tracking on when events are coming.

I understand the problem a little bit but the solution seems simple.

Just make a fight thread for the next handful of events and then add to calendar for respective dates.

If the event title changes then edit the thread title and it will edit on the calendar automatically.

FYI sexual chicken has been making the fight night threads lately
usually about 5-7 days out from event

which is earlier than wild or I or birdcatcher have been doing

I only make them if it is 3 days out and no thread

good idea about a thread to throw up multiple dates to fill calendar...solid

only came back to thread because it said it was moved in my alerts
