Really? He seems like he's have trouble breathing in that video.
Does he realize that he's almost making the case that the belts are just awards for best fights/most important fights of the night which is part of the UFC's defense?
With respect, I think that's a pretty tenuous extrapolation from his argument. And from my perspective, the UFC's argument would get laughed out of court if they ever had to truly defend that ridiculous position anyway. Just because they make that argument, doesn't mean that anyone takes it seriously, and it should not be a reason to stop someone pointing out how corrupt their operation is.
I agree that their argument is a load of crap.
But the opposition pointing out that the rankings are basically nothing more than a random number beside of a name and that title shots are given based on money instead of earning it does reaffirm their shitty, ridiculous position.
Who cares? Is this really what government should be investing their time in?

Although I agree in principal, his example is a poor one. Bisping got the shot because he was the highest ranked available fighter at the time. I'm 50/50 on GSP, yes he was coming off a 4 year layoff but he is regarded as arguably the GOAT and never lost his own belt, the fact he won validates the match making.
