“I had a bunch of guys who worked for us in the UFC and made a bunch of money and they’re gone now. You know? You just don’t know, if he’s going to come in and make this kind of money, he might never fight again,” White said.

And while that would obviously not be great news for the UFC, if Aug. 26 does in fact turn out to be the last time the only fighter ever to simultaneously hold two UFC weight-class titles competes in a combat sports arena, White is determined not to get in McGregor's way.

“That’s part of the deal, you know?” White said. “This kid has done a lot for the sport, a lot for the company and this is the fight that he wanted, so we’re going to give it to him. And if this is the end of his career, then it is what it is. “

Easy promotion. Implication is you may never see McGregor again so buy this fight. He may take a break, but he isn't the kind of guy to sit on his arse, he will be back.

He will never have to fight again after that kind of payday. Easy promotion and most likely true, however you want to put it.

And as much as the Irish Ric Flair gets on my nerves from time to time with his stale gimmick, good for him. He got paid, he built himself up to get to this point in a relatively short time. Most importantly, getting out while still healthy, enough to supply for his family, and will always be open to a big payday return fight. Well done, well done

He can't sight a single example. Gsp is coming back, anderson is still fighting, rhonda is just done and not because she made money, but because she was broken mentally.

I'll bet he's talking about Joe Silva and anyone else who bailed after the buyout.

At this point it makes zero difference what Dana says about anything. In fact don't believe anything that anyone says until you see it happening. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

I'm done listening. Just get it over with

He must be talking about Brock. But Brock already had money so I'm not sure if that one counts.

Dana will ALWAYS Promote and do what he thinks is best for a given fight at that given time. Of course he's going to "SPIN" it so this could be Mac's last fight. Just another reason for casuals and diehard fans to shell out the 99.95 for a PPV. They are going to sell the hell out of this thing to get every penny possible from the fans. WOuldn't be surprised is there is limited edition media event swag for sale on each stop of the media tour happening now.

Everyone of us is going to hear many reasons why we "MUST BUY THIS PPV"! We may eve hear that if there are over 6million PPV's sold it will stop all war and make world peace happen, stop hunger and everyone in the free world will become rich. The extent of BS thats will be told before this fight happens will be sickening. Contradicting themselves in the process, yet many casuals won't hear it all and it will be a "Must SEE" for them. Face it, they are the ones who will make the big numbers happen, hardcore fans will watch one way or another, some hard core fans will be disgusted and not watch period.
