When I checked on the weekend Lewis was a laughably big underdog. Like 3 to 1.
He should be the dog, but not that big. Gane looks a legit title threat (or will be in a couple of years, at least), but Lewis is much more proven and is a guy who can lose 4 consecutive rounds and still be a threat.

This is a running joke in our Bjj gym. Guys trapped on the bottom and we’re waiting against the wall and calmly advise “bro, just get up. Be like Derrick and just get up”.

Francis is making the mistake of trying to dictate the terms with the UFC. That never works out well for the fighter. Unless you can really generate money you have no leverage and this is the easy way for the UFC to say that the show will go on according to the schedule that they want, with you or without you.
I'm not saying that it's right. It's just how it is.
