EBI 8 will be on September 11th, and will feature middleweight grapplers (185 lbs). Josh Hayden just tweeted out that he was offered a spot.... Kid's a beast, i'm wishing the best for him.

EBI posted that Gordon Ryan will be competing at EBI 8, and I heard that Matt Arroyo (ADCC Vet, also TUF and UFC Vet) will be competing too...... Matt is a awesome guy, i'm looking forward to this event

DAMN that is a tough bracket.... Matt is a buddy of mine, drawing Gordon Ryan in the first round is tough. Josh Hayden will heel hook someone, i'm looking forward to it.

I've seen Tex Johnson compete at a Newbreed in NC, he's a wild man (had a rep for hurting his training partners). Had a finals battle with Guybson Sa that Guybson won.... I thought they were going to break out in a fist fight.

Quintin Rosenzweig has competed at Newbreed before, and he's a hell of a grappler and leg lock guy. Griffin and Rocha are beasts too.... This will be a great tournament

I've loved 1-7. This tourney has started my dive into No-Gi. Didn't realize it was so different. So much to learn. I love it.

I plan to. In addition to Josh Hayden, Tex Johnson is competing. I have seen him grapple at some of the regional tournaments that I have competed in, and he is a beast.

I was there for that, walking around very stiff because I hurt my neck the day before and had to withdraw from the tournament.
