Accompanied by fighters Bethe Correia, Kinberly Novaes and Thaiane Souza, jiu-jitsu black belt Cristiano Marcello helps to make history in the city of Curitiba. For the first time in Brazil a group of female police officers participate in a special operations course, and the former UFC and Pride athlete is one of the responsible coordinators.

I like this story, because it's not super often that we see a positive story involve Bethe. I have often wondered what the pitbull brothers actually think of her, but of course no one will ask them for a UFC promotion.

Good to see Bethe in there helping with training, but I always feel weird with MMA fighters cozy relationship with cops. I guess they're one of the few groups who will actually pay for martial arts instruction.

For being with Chute Boxe so long, Marcello had truly terrible striking. Like next level bad. But his BJJ was legit.

2003 was a longtime ago, but I don't remember the Chute Boxe fighters having particularly technical striking. Hyper aggressive though, definitely that.
