Fight Facts: UFC Fight Night Gdansk
10/22/17

Total number of UFC Fights: 4361
Total number of UFC Events: 414

They Paid Attention
UFC Fight Night 118 became the first card since UFC 197 in April 2016 to feature 7+ decisions, where every judge unanimously agreed on who won each bout.

Domination
In those seven decisions, combining for a total of 21 scorecards submitted by the judges, only TWO scorecards gave the losing fighter a single round. The rest of the scorecards were 30-27, 30-26, or 30-25.

Comes With Its Perks
ALL four fighters to knock out Donald Cerrone in the UFC have earned a post-fight bonus for their performances.

The Reliable Cowboy
Although unsuccessful, Donald Cerrone made his 26th appearance in the UFC, tying Gleison Tibau, Demian Maia, Jeremy Stephens, and Diego Sanchez for the second-most bouts in UFC history. He trails Michael Bisping, Jim Miller, Frank Mir, and Tito Ortiz by one fight.

Cowboy amassed that many fights in over 6 years and 8 months, FAR quicker than the others listed. It took Tibau almost 9 years, Maia over 9 years and 8 months, Stephens over 10 years and 3 months, and Sanchez just over 12 years to each fight that many times for the UFC.

Jan Can Choke
Jan Blachowicz’s sudden submission victory over Devin Clark was just the FIFTH bulldog choke in UFC history, and the first since UFC 181 in 2014 when Raquel Pennington put Ashlee Evans-Smith to sleep with the maneuver.

I Will Knock You All Down
Josh Emmett scored a whopping FOUR knockdowns in the first round against Felipe Arantes, becoming the FIRST fighter in UFC history to drop their opponent four times in a single round.

Emmett joins Nate Marquardt and Brad Blackburn with the second-most knockdowns in a single bout in UFC history. They trail Forrest Petz and Jeremy Stephens, who each scored 5 knockdowns in a single bout.

All Been a Pack of Lies
Following his draw against Nicholas Dalby, Darren Till switched his walkout music to “In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins, and has since won all three.

Top Let Down and the Sunshine Shining
Donald Cerrone has walked out to Kid Rock’s “Cowboy” for ALL 26 of his UFC bouts, extending his own record for the most utilized song by a single fighter.

I will admit, this was a tough card to find a lot of unique and interesting information about. The results were fairly unsurprising as most of the favorites won, the hometown and debuting fighters had mixed results, the walkout songs were unremarkable, and few records were broken. Even so, we still had some good stats to pick from above, but that's about the extent of it.

Be sure to check out my buddies at Combat Docket for plenty more where that came from! The piece hosted on CD, you can get to from the link at the top, and it contains some more visual support to make the piece more fun to read. Thanks for reading!

I love this stuff.
Wish I could have put together more for this, but I was limited by my source material and underwhelming results.

I've been chewing on one more stat, but I can't really get legs underneath it so here are its bare bones.

I Celebrate The Guy's Entire Catalog
In all 15 recorded uses of Phil Collins songs by fighters in UFC history, EVERY fighter has selected a variation of "In the Air Tonight", despite having a massive library of Collins's music to choose from.
