I was just having a convo with my incredibly liberal friend and it reminded me of similar convos we've had here. He's literally the complete opposite of me, but we get along great We get drunk and argue constantly about politics and policies... but either one of us would give the other the shirt off our backs or have each other's six in a bar brawl. Very weird. The fucker still refuses to come shooting with me though...

Know what? I’ve been considering the same stuff here recently.

I feel well out of my depth but probably lean a bit to the left.

You, boots, have had me in a quandary. We get on nicely but sometimes I just shake my head, then think I don’t deserve my opinion
So I don’t go
There

My cock leans to the left... All we need is common ground.

My friend is the same way. I laughed because the other night we got together after he's unborns gender reveal party and we broke out the whiskey...because of course, it's a boy! He looks at me all sternly and asks, "you've got my back if shit ever hits the fan in this country?" Of course I do. Then he grabs my hand and just says, "Teach my boy..." Honest to God I almost cried.

I respect people's views. I don't agree with not being armed for protection, but I can respect someone's decision to do so. What grinds my fucking gears is the misinformation, belittling, etc. I'd rather someone be informed on firearms and their purpose in America, rather than just spew Liberal talking points. I do lean left on several things, for what it's worth.

I think you said it best when you you told me

" Once you start to argue, you already lost."

Its not that anyone of of us are bad people, its just that most of you guys think you can win the internet.

Regarding gun control, I think the issue has to do with how you grew up.

Despite the fact that my father is from the South, he was not a fan of guns. My mother's family are all northeastern liberals from Connecticut (northern side, think Boston, not New York), so I grew up in a gun-free home. This undoubtedly shaped the way I look at the issues of private gun ownership and gun control now.

And though I have considered buying a gun and have even talked about getting a CCWP, in the end, I just didn't think it was necessary.

All that said, I realize that a complete gun buyback would be logistically impossible, so I'm against any type of confiscation of private citizens' firearms. But I see no practical use in owning an assault weapon. I think these weapons should be banned outright, like they were in the Clinton years.

And though I describe myself as a social liberal and don't see myself ever voting for a conservative candidate ever ever ever, most liberals are indeed pussies.

I don't mind him because I use the ignore function.
I have you on ignore because you're a shit troll who lacks creativity and has to go the low-energy route of anger/vulgarity in order to get a response to all your shitposting.

You have me on ignore because I call you out for being a shit troll.

Good sentiments, but please know the truth.

That Ban sold so many ARs, before and after its enforcement...it was a tool to sell guns as much as it was one to control them...It is the reason some people have double digit ARs in safes right now.

I hope all reading this understand that....don't get played by the fear mongering mainstream media and politics

I can see that. I grew up in a house full of guns with a sheriffs deputy for a step-dad. Parents voted Democrat until the Clinton AR ban. We always viewed guns as tools. An AR is like the multi-tool of the gun world. Efficient at hunting, defense, and sport shooting.
