I dug it that you looked at Dong/Covington. If non-commitally lol.

That was the most interesting fight on this card to me, bettingwise, and overall. I think the Dong conversion began after he lost to Maia. So did his improvement overall.

I think I went the wrong way on Dong/Colby, now that the dust has settled. Dong revamped himself after Maia, but probably not enough to stop Cov's wrestling, even with the size difference (smaller than I thought when making the bet). He probably can't stop Covington's wrestling, but that's the hardest thing to figure in handicapping match-ups, because it comes down to such small things. A lot of people probably haven't noticed yet how many small things Cov does differently from other Div 1 All-American wrestlers. He has a shitload of little details in his adjustments & scrambles that make him so hard to stop (and the cardio to keep doing it). Would love to see the Donger get it, because if he does it will be the product of long term spirit and devotion -- and a hard-won willingness to take chances -- that fuel it; sadly, a lifetime of applied wrestling dedication and unique excellence in one area will prob be the difference.

Tough to stop Colby's wrestling. He's on elite level in MMA.

I'd love to see him show some improvements in other areas though. I'm not even talking about striking although that would be a plus. Anyone with his level of wrestling should be working extensively on a few submissions like the arm triangle and how to maintain positional dominance while throwing bombs like Khabib does. My opinion of him will change if I see either of those. Right now he's a loud mouthed blanket and that's a combo that doesn't interest me at all.
