I think there's apps for it.

I used to use Zedge for ringtones. I don't know what my ringtone even is and I've had this phone a couple years. Always on vibrate.

Google "Youtube to mp3" find one that allows you to trim the audio, or use a local app to trim it after you download the whole thing like suggested above. You can also Google for an online mp3 cutter rather than doing it locally. Transfer the mp3 to you phone under the Ringtones directory (use the Files app), then open your Phone app, click the three vertical dots, to open Settings, then click Sounds and vibration, then click Phone ringtone, then My Sounds, then select the one you want which is likely now slightly renamed. All of this is for Android. You'll need to lookup the directory for the file and menu options for iPhone.

Call your phone to test.

Also, test the file is the length / spot you want after editing or creating.

Not to hijack the thread, but...

YEARS ago, I had an early android phone that I used some app to trim music I'd loaded onto it, then set as my ringtone.

One day, I'm at my ex-in-laws' place for one of my niece's birthday party. My ex bro-in-law was a counselor (or ran the place or something) at a Christian home for children...a place for runaways, homeless kids, etc.

Anyway, we're over at their place and it's packed. There's probably 12-15 adults / parents and at least 20-25 kids, most of 'em being around 10 or so. And almost all of 'em hardcore Christians.

I'm sitting at a table with Mini-Wiggy and I forget who else off to one side. I was expecting a text and it was really loud in there, so I had my phone up at full volume, not thinking.

Have you ever been in one of those situations where you're in a fairly large group of people, and for some unknown reason, everyone in the place inexplicably gets quiet all at the same time, so that the place is virtually silent?

Well, that happened there. The whole place mysteriously goes quiet...

...only for the phone in my pocket to start blaring a woman sexually yelling "uh...uh...uh....uhhhhh...." as I'd had the moaning intro to White Zombie's "More Human Than Human" set as my ringtone.

Lemme tell you #1 - how well that went over, and #2 - how many dirty looks I got.

It was GLORIOUS. hahahaha
