I was skeptical at first, but Bare Knuckle Boxing will be the new king

What a great show they put on last night.

Fight after fight after fight, one fight ends and the next fighters are waiting at the curtain to come out. Fighters have to "toe the line", meaning they start in the middle on the right 4 feet apart instead of coming out from corners.

5 2-minute rounds encourages fighters to be more active. The second two guys clinched up and wrestled instead of trying to fight out, it was broken up. That being said they did allow dirty boxing, as fighters were grabbing and hitting all night. It was great.

It was the first show, so there are a lot of improvements to be made obviously. Antonio Tarver is kind of a dope, they can definitely find a better colour commentator. At one point the view of a finish was obstructed because the show director didn't cut to a different camera. The production values are a little on the cheap side.

But overall I think this has the potential to top any MMA product on the market. Personally I'd love to see them add elbows and head butts.

they need to make it 14.99 .i feel like they made it too costly for a lot of people to try a new promotion for the first time. i went buy this on the fite tv app and it ended up being 39.99 CAD .shit that is more than rizin costs. i picked up my fishing rod instead. i watch shit on fite.tv for 14.99 and 9.99 all the time ,muay thai, european mma etc . next saturday ksw 44 is 11.99 and m1 challenge 94 is 7.99 . they have to be careful not to price themselves out of the market

Yeah was priced too high for a start off, maybe even 24.99$ or something I would have bought, but 40$ I just watched the stream

You can always watch this.

As for me i like watching people bare fist each other.
That's more like ECC170 @ECC170's cup of tea.

But real fights go to the ground. That's why MMA > boxing. It's as close as it gets to a street fight.

Clinching is fighting too though.

I'm not necesarily crazy on bare knuckle fighting and I hate rulesets that (try to) avoid clniching. Clinching is natural and if you're gonna break it up then the ref has got to be interfering all the time. there is a fine balance IMO between avoiding too much clinching which is not viewer friendly but allowing some clinching which can be awesome too with the use of elbows, knees, sweeps and dumps.

Anyway I'll be interested to see this org. any known names fighting there?

show me all these street fights on the ground

a smart street fighter wants no part of concrete unless they are fighting a pushover....if you are talking grass surface that is different

LOL I will wait here tough guy

I have to laugh when people make fight sports about what is most like a real fight. Who cares? I want to be entertained, I want to see blood and guts.

In a real fight, you can spend 20 years training your body into a well tuned killing machine, where you're an absolute pro standing and on the ground... and then some fat George Zimmerman guy can just shoot you. Or you can get stabbed by a Puerto Rican. Or hit by a bus.

Talking about what is the "best style" is just dumb.

But I know one thing, this bareknuckle boxing shit is entertaining as fuck and as they grow this and get better boxers/production values it's going to compete with UFC for real.
