Ilir Latifi vs Glover Teixeira in the works for UFC summer showdown

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is cooking up a light heavyweight showdown against two of the hardest hitting punchers in the 205-pound division. According to our friends at Kimura.se, brutish power puncher Ilir Latifi will collide with former title contender Glover Teixeira.

A date and location have yet to be revealed.

Latifi (14-5, 1 NC) is coming off back-to-back wins over Tyson Pedro and Ovince Saint Preux, the latter of which ended by way guillotine choke. “The Sledgehammer” is now 5-1 dating back to late 2014 and sits ranked at No. 4 in the division.

Hoping for Glover, but realistically, I think Latifi takes him.

One of my biggest MMA disappointments is that we never got to see 2006-2012 Glover in the UFC. I think he would have had a good run as champ had he got there a few years earlier.
