2 TB of meticulously archived -=LEGAL=- stuff "melted"....

Going to suck to restore it from DVD's... sigh. Something like 400 of them.

Yeah, it just developed a slot of bad sectors, compromising data integrity. Good time to upgrade the drive though. Thinking about the WD 6 TB red.

I hope you throw it in a raid. Slow without it. Also the 6tb's seem to be having alot of doa's

Speed is not important.
I'm looking at a few options right now, but quite likely I'll swap to something like this: ORICO THAILAND

I live about 10 minutes away from the computer shops so exchanges are easy if I receive a DOA part.
