IMO he knows that the high level of Agaratines in the common white button mushrooms in the store and Portabello mushrooms have high levels and are partially responsible for cancers and tumor growth. Which is big business and of course you won't want to be getting in the way of big business and profits so he won't go on record often on the topic. People don't usually cook them at high enough temps to be healthy and negate the potentially negative effects.
According to Wikipedia, Agaratines are carcinogenic in high doses.
I eat other types of mushrooms which are supposed to have much lower levels, and I cook them well.
I think he is hinting at the most popular mushrooms in the store are the most dangerous and it isn't a coincidence if you know what I'm saying.

Having lived in eastern PA for many years, mushroom farming is a huge business. The farms stink worst then any other type farm and are very close to residential areas. People look at Africa and think the world will turn into Africa.. First of all that will take a long time. Secondly it's not a bad thing. Africa sustains life better than probably any other region on earth. They have an infrastructure problem.. Their natural habitat is made perfectly for humans. They're so undeveloped precisely because it's so much easier to survive there vs virtually anywhere else.
