The old "if the person having a guest on his podcast doesn't grill his guest (and probably friend) about the most negative aspects of his career he's a shill" take. One of my favorite stock MMA fan takes. If Joe doesn't ask him about juicing I don't care.
I fully understand him not asking about it but what pisses me off about Barnett is that he's never owned it. I don't even want an apology. He doesn't owe me one. But I would have more respect for him if he would ever admit it even in a joking manner like Chael has. He could easily say that in the beginning MMA was the wild West and everyone was looking for an edge and so was he. He could say that later failures were due to trying to heal some nagging injuries so he could put on a show. Whatever. Just own it. Deny deny deny deny isn't valid and it just makes him look worse. It's weird to say but admission via lie is better than denial via lie.The old "if the person having a guest on his podcast doesn't grill his guest (and probably friend) about the most negative aspects of his career he's a shill" take. Josh will never apologize. He doesn't care about regulation and he doesn't care what you think. Hes a juicer. He's a cheater. Everyone knows it, he just doesn't care as long as he gets a paycheck. He his the perfect antithesis of what martial arts is supposed to be. Disgraceful.I fully understand him not asking about it but what pisses me off about Barnett is that he's never owned it. That applies to everyone that's busted for roids. It's why Roger Clemens is still a villian and Andy Pettitte still seems squeaky clean.
I basically agree, I was just commenting on expecting Joe to grill his friend.I fully understand him not asking about it but what pisses me off about Barnett is that he's never owned it. Yea, but everyone else were on it during that era.Josh will never apologize. He doesn't care about regulation and he doesn't care what you think. Hes a juicer. He's a cheater.
