Conor McGregor's rise to the stars was quick and in one direction up. When McGregor first signed with UFC there was some early hype, before he was champion the fans were there flooding the hallways in Las Vegas and around the world. There was something special about McGregor.

He just had a certain stigma, a charisma that drew people to him. The days of McGregor's rise are over he reached the top, once you reach the top there is only one way to go. After losing to Dustin Poirier in the trilogy fight McGregor reached a new low. He actually broke in front of everyone his leg shattered badly. At this point it is time to wonder is he finished or will he come back and regain his former glory. The popular vote is going to be the ladder, most will say he's finished.
Khamzat Chimeav is on fire in the UFC, he's gaining popularity quickly. Chimeav is not blowing up the way McGregor did but close enough he's the next big thing right now and it's because his fighting is unbelievable. It's funny how quickly someone can go from the top to somewhere in between and that is exactly what happened to McGregor.

If you asked this question a few year's ago it would not lead to much response and nobody knew who Chimeav was when McGregor was champion, but now if you ask the same question, you will almost certainly get an outcry of responses saying Chimeav will trash McGregor.

So let me ask you the fan in a duel between the former double champion Conor McGregor vs Khamzat Chimeav, a surging UFC welterweight. At 170, which man get's the victory. Both are incredible strikers, could Conor land a left hand that knocks Chimeav into oblivion?
