When Alex has someone hurt, he gets really sloppy with his defense. He keeps his hands really low while he picks his shots, and that opens him up to be countered. Hell Rountree hit him with a counter left when he was hurt but he just didn’t have enough steam on anything by that point. It cost him against Stylebender and it probably won’t be the last time.
Goddard is one of the good guys in the sport
I remember when he showed up live on the slaphead and the giraffe podcast and I pointed this out to

True, but against Izzy (II) he got over zealous when Izzy wasn't all that hurt or close to being out of there. Izzy baited him a bit. Roundtree was fading hard when Alex started really going down hill and opening up,
You can tell by that photo that he is down with beating your ass more than most
