British fighter Mark Godbeer will be making the move down to light heavyweight for his next fight under the UFC banner.

Godbeer (13-4) signed for the UFC back in Nov. 2016 and has since gone 2-2 with wins over Daniel Sptiz and Walt Harris bookended by losses to Justin Ledet and most recently Dmitriy Sosnovskiy back in March.

The former BAMMA heavyweight champion has weighed in at 238-pounds, 241.-5-pounds, 244-pounds, and 238-pounds since joining the UFC and will now be looking to make the move down to 205-pounds for the first time since 2011....

If he really feels like diet will mostly do it, I think this is a good change for him. If he's going to have near death weight-cuts, I'd rather just see retirement or stepping down to another promotion.

Plus 205 needs something else going for it at this point, especially with top 205-ers talking about following DC up to heavyweight.
