Granted, he said this a while ago, but I'm sure he still believes it and would take this mentality into a potential McGregor vs Mayweather bout.

He actually is right on the fact that few whites are in boxing, but it doesn't follow that MMA was created just because whites are under-represented in boxing. What do you think?

americans have to make everything about race
Not true, don't believe the fake news. Race is only important to shit stirrers and ignorant fucks. As a proud American, I wake everyday and conduct my life harmoniously among a myriad of people from varying ethnic backgrounds.

Most of the garbage reported, comes out of bigger cities and metropolitan areas. Anyone that chooses to live in that environment gets what they deserve, it's an unnatural environment for a human to subject themselves to imo.

All that being said, I should be closing on an off grid desert ranch out west in the next 45 days to try to put a buffer between myself and some of those previously mentioned pos's.

That's the way we are headed unfortunately.

Has anyone seen the trailer for that movie "get out" or whatever it's called.

I swear when I first saw that, I thought it was a parody, but I couldn't believe that is an actual film.

Pandering to the whole race shit going on in the United States. Movie makes whites out to be monsters. Incredibly shitty concept.

The thing is, blacks have a higher percentage of "fast-twitch" muscle, which is useful in sports like boxing that require short, explosive movement. Whites are more likely to have better muscular endurance though.

He's not entirely wrong. With the pay situation as it is, why would any fighter choose MMA over boxing if they can reach the top of boxing, regardless of colour?

He may be right, but can you imagine if a white champion made a comments about blacks going into boxing? Jesse Jackson and the rainbow coalition would be on his door step before he finished the next sentence.

Jonathan Jones is the greatest MMA fighter of all time and last time I checked he is black.

Also Calzaghe, W Klitschko was champion forever, and Tyson Fury are white boxing champions.

And I know this interview was a while ago, but didn't Bernard Hopkins just get KTFO by a white guy?

Put like this, I have to admit I can't really think of any legitimate reason. Seems like a lot of MMA fighters start out in boxing/kickboxing too.

Also: lol @ Floyd "you can't just take my shoes off, take my shirt off and throw me in a cage, that's for animals"

Against my better judgement, I'll bite.

'He is actually right on the fact that few whites are in boxing'. No, no he isn't.

There are plenty of top-level white boxers, there is just a relative lack of top-level American white boxers. The whole 'Great White Hope' thing is not just about racism but jingoism too. Which makes nonsensical argument's like Floyd's impressively stupid.

There's also a genetic component to it; it's not all cultural or social impacts. The quote below from the book "The Story Behind the Amazing Success of Black Athletes" explains some of it:

"For years it was axiomatic that muscles have two types of fibers - white, or fast-twitch, which were thought to be adapted for power movements, such as leaping or sprinting; and red, or slow-twitch, which were adapted for endurance. Now we know the model is more complicated. There are in fact two different types of fast-twitch fibers, one more metabolically efficient. Whites on average have a higher percentage of slow-twitch fibers than West African blacks who generally have more of both types of fast-twitch fibers.

Although fiber composition can significantly affect performance, it is not sufficient by itself to ensure high performance. Since endurance is only about 25 percent inherited, training plays an integral role-but more so in blacks than whites. Experiments show that with only a modest amount of training, blacks can experience an explosive rise in exercise capacity, while even with far more effort whites don't improve nearly as much. In contrast, it appears that no amount of training can break through genetically-imposed, inherited limits on anaerobic capacity-the ability to sprint and jump. Thus, although fiber type alone does not itself guarantee a champion, if an athlete does not have a certain proportion of fast-twitch muscles, he or she can't hope to be a champion sprinter or jumper. In practical terms, this detail suggests that sprinters are born, not made."

This is part of the reason I dont like Mayweather. The guy is just a fucking tool.

First of all his comments are completely false and ignorant, as well as racist.

MMA is for fighters who came from backgrounds besides Boxing(usually or wanted to do more than that), like, guys who were interested in the many other martial arts out there that are also effective when allowed. Being white has nothing to do with it. I am sure if you ask him about Muay Thai or Kickboxing he woykd say the same thing "its for people who wanted to fight but werent good enough to Box" or maybe they just dont like how limited the sport of Boxing is, how corrupt it is, etc. Maybe they started in something other than Boxing, maybe where they lived Boxing wasnt as popular?

Why is it, that when a sport has successful white athletes that means there is something wrong(racist) or lacking(talent) ?

His comment can be easily flipped as "Boxing is for kids who couldnt Wrestle because they were too stupid to stay in school" like Mayweather who can barely fucking read. Equally ignorant.

Exactly.

Vasyl Lomachenko is currently P4P and hes Ukrainian as is Oleksandr Usyk whos the king of CW.

When you look at divisions like SMW, LHW, CW, MW, they are filled with European fighters.
