million dollar dolly changing bum lives

I think Rose's lawsuit will be even more, she's building up for a hefty lump sum

Also named as defendants in the lawsuit are: Mario Yamasaki for saving his life too soon while being choked to death by Kevin Lee, and the doctor in the Lauzon fight who felt a giant open gash on his head was a reason to stop the fight.

he should get a cheeky behind the scenes pay-out, as he did get cut and this likely fucked with his finances. but nothing disproportionate or painfully public... oh wait!

he was on-weight and ranked much higher than Ragin' Al, so this lawsuit will have legs. It's just a question of what value he was denied by losing the opportunity to fight Khabib.

The most he could shoot for is what 100K?
it's america. from what I understand of the american legal system, the most minor possible infractions can be causally linked to almost entirely separate negative consequences befallen by the litigant, resulting in fines of several billion dollars. so basically, mike can say his cat was upset by the smell of his medicine and suddenly he's in line to take possession of all mcgregor's favourite cars and childhood home.

except this is a case of a specific, and adjudicated illegal, activity resulting in the direct loss of opportunity to achieve quantifiable compensation.

Chiesa is suing McGregor for causing "severe emotional distress, mental trauma and/or bodily harm".

In the court documents, he says that McGregor's actions caused "serious personal injury and economic damages" to him.

He is also suing the Barclays Center, saying security had failed to "engage in proper security measures to protect the plaintiff and other patrons".
lol @ suing someone for not protecting cage fighters.

I feel like the american populace was given rope and they have been in the process of hanging themselves with frivolous lawsuits for a few decades now....

agree in principle, disagree in this instance.

IMO - it's like if you were standing behind me in line at the convenience store, and we were both waiting to buy lottery tickets. Conor McGregor comes in and shoves me out of line. You step up to the counter and buy a ticket, and it pays $500k. Conor pleads guilty to misdemeanor assault.

There's no guarantee that I would have won $500k, but there's no guarantee that I wouldn't have hit the jackpot. All that's known is that someone else got paid with my opportunity, and Conor is the one who cost me that opportunity with his illegal actions.

The thing is, your chances of winning any lottery payout are better than Chiesa's chances were on fight night.

was torn between "Funny" and "Agree".

went with "Optimistic" in reference to Chiesa having odds that good against Khabib.

I agree fully...it was bullshit and the lil punk got off easy

just wonder if that hurts his case/payday
I don't think it will.. he was assaulted and lost out on wages regardless if he made the fight up.. conor will throw him a 100k and settle out of court.
