Michael Bisping ‘crushed’ after losing to GSP but is ‘proud’ of what he’s achieved in the sport

Michael Bisping talked a lot of trash to Georges St-Pierre in the lead-up to their middleweight championship showdown at UFC 217, but the quick-witted Brit has been nothing but humble in defeat.

Bisping, 38, lost his title to St-Pierre in the main event, succumbing to a rear-naked choke in the third round after being dropped with a counter left hook.

‘The Count’ refused to tap and was choked unconscious, but regained his wits for the UFC 217 post-fight press conference in New York

Speaking to the media, Bisping said he was crushed by the loss but is proud of what he’s achieved in the sport. The former champion also gave full credit to St-Pierre for what was possibly the greatest finish of his career.

Listen, I'm probably Georges biggest fan on this forum, we are pretty tight and use to slang poontang together back in the day.

I love my Georgie boy more than anyone else on this forum but at the end of the day ...his added weight was causing him to fade in the late 2nd round and early 3rd ...he was gassing and gassing fast. Freddie Roach confirmed this assessment earlier today when he too felt George cardio was greatly effected by the added weight.

So as GSP's biggest fan I'm just saying he got lucky to finish Bisping when he did otherwise he would have tapped out to strikes again like he did with Serra.

GSP will be back though, Conor McGregor is next on the list!

He does have a laundry list of impressive stats. Wins, sig strikes etc. Imo he should be proud. He's had a long career at the top of the heap. He's seen fighters come and go but he remained.

I don't ever recall Nick spitting on anyone or throwing intentional illegal blows with intent to injure, so IMO, it's not a good comparison. YMMV
