Let's be frank here: Mighty Mouse was an A-level fighter beating up on a division of B's. Not fighter bashing, that's just a fact. We're talking about a division where Sergio Pettis ranked #2. Where Ray Borg is #4.

So when people were anointing him the greatest of all time, it was just ridiculous. Of course he's going to dominate a division full of B-level fighters in a new division.

So for MM to lose to one of his B-level challengers - and let's be honest, Cejudo is B+ at the VERY BEST and even that's a stretch - is just so fitting. I liked MM but lost all respect for him when he chose to duck TJ and break the record against a far inferior opponent.

And if you needed any more proof of how worthless that belt was, look at DJ's reaction after losing. People are saying "omg he was so humble in defeat"! No, that was a dude who didn't care. He had all the agony of a guy who was just told by his waiter "sorry, we don't have Pepsi, is coke alright?" My god. That's cool. Go home and play video games, not like you just lost a world title...

And Cejudo going up to fight TJ... got to admire his balls, but he's going to get murdered. TJ would have knocked MM out easy and he'll dispatch Cejudo even easier.

MM ducking Teej was rather transparent. He wanted to at least go down in history books, understandable as most disregarded him as P4P.

I find it more that eventually after all the time at top, someone was able to study the tapes, hone their own skills, came up with a plan to beat him. Wouldn’t say it got exposed either, just now its the same as Ronda. Dominate champ that many people disliked got dethroned after long dominant reign.

His reaction to it was just a general interview. No trash talking, just going through the motions. Respectable.

Screw you for making me feel the need to defend the snake ducker.

It's obviously true that FLW is a developing division that's still quite young, and that the talent there isn't what it is in most other divisions, but this is true for EVERY new division. It may diminish Mouse's accomplishment SOMEWHAT but he's still undoubtedly a great fighter.

BTW, Joe Benavidez I'd call a genuine A-level fighter. He and Mouse both did very good jobs of holding their own fighting bigger guys at 135. Don't forget that Joe B took Cruz to a split decision--a decision that some think he should've won--and MM laid him out cold.

We have no idea what he was really feeling, I don't think.

GSP was humble in defeat against Serra and seemed relatively chill and then we find out that he had to go to a sports psychologist and write "SERRA" on a brick and throw it in the river to try to get Matt out of his head.

But really, the guy's coming off a 13-fight winning streak. As odd as it may sound, winning all the time can get boring. It's possible he may be excited to have actually been challenged and now have a new challenge ahead of him: Regaining his title.
