So 'worst decisions' is obviously a played out discussion, but what are some idiotic calls by dissenting judges in splits that thankfully still went the right way? It seems a lot of these get lost to history.

Decision Dan Henderson was famous for picking up bullshit wins early in his career, but the judge who gave him the nod in the Arona loss was probably the most insane singular pick of them all.

Like Dan, another guy who would feature prominently on 'worst decisions' lists, Leonard Garcia, was given the nod in the Hominick fight by a judge.

Also, any time Adalaide Byrd's gave it to the non-White fighter, with Guillard against Jamie Varner a notable example.

Erik Silva vs Neil Magny is another one that comes to mind.

Interesting, good thread idea.
I hope others have a better memory than me.
I tend to forget these things when the decision goes the right way.
Forgot about Hominick/Guy Smiley.
So Adalaide Byrd had jungle fever?

Hendo's decision to drop that follow up shot on Bisping for sure.

There has long been suspicion about Adalaide Byrd because beyond being a Don King stooge, she has made a lot of questionable decisions against white fighters. But to be fair she did score Derrick Lewis-Big Country for Roy not too long ago, and most thought Lewis won.

So maybe it is just a coincidence, and she is just standard corrupt/incompetent and not actually prejudiced.

Gus-DC. I like Gus, but it was pretty clear he lost AT LEAST 3 rounds of that fight, if not 4. I'm not quite sure how Derek Cleary gave Gus 3 rounds...

A couple of the judges gave Gus 2 rounds which was complete bullshit.
While I gave Jones 4 rounds, giving 2 to Gus wasn't 'complete bullshit' as a lot of observers saw it that way. More media had it 48-47 than 49-46 and 0 had it 50-45.

Anyone who would give Jones R1 is mentally retarded.
