So I'll be spending two weeks in western Europe next month (business-related). Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to the UK, but I will be traveling through Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Belgium (Flanders mostly), and Germany.
Anyhow, I haven't traveled internationally in the last 11 months and am a little apprehensive. From 2008 to 2016, I was proud to talk about my President and my country whenever I traveled, but now...
I'm worried that people I talk to, either in a business setting or just random people I strike up conversations with, will hound me with questions about how much of an idiot our President is, and I really don't know what to say.
I agree with them 100%, but I don't think my saying "I don't know, I didn't vote for him" will suffice.
I'm too proud/patriotic to pretend that I'm Canadian, but I would rather not deal with endless questions about Agent Orange and all the dumb shit he says/does/tweets.
Any suggestions?
