honest story here, was walking with my daughter and wife 2 days ago outside of a convenience store and this guy (probably mid 30s) was there with his pitbull and some other type dog......my daughter, carrying her balloon she just got from a restaurant we ate at, and this fuc-ing pitbull, unleashed starts walking towards her quickly so I swooped her up quickly (thank fuc-) i reacted the right way but then the dog got pulled back by the weasel owner.......I just looked at him with this look that I only give if I want to kill somebody, rarely ever use it and the shi- head didn't look at me wouldn't engage eye contact with me to say sorry.......I sure I'll will see him again as I want to (matter of fact, have taken "walks" down to the center of town Monday and Tuesday to get breakfast to have "word" with him but he hasn't been there).... Am I wrong to feel like this matter isn't closed?

Completely agree with you dude, you want to live in a safe neighbourhood, and the last thing you want is a shitty owner of a dog they neither understand or can train correctly. You're a fellow UKer I think, so I know exactly the kinda fool you're talking about. Your protective of your family and rightly so.

If it was my dog that did that I would have restrained it and immediately apologized. I mean really apologized. You should be able to take your family out and not worry for your child's safety. Others shouldn't have to experience a similar ordeal from that dog either.

I've owned pits my whole life. That said, no dog should be walked without a leash ever. I would honestly call animal control or whatever on the guy if you see him out again. His fuckhead decisions should not put other people in potential danger. Even if his dog is the nicest dog in the world, you can't have it running at little girls with no leash. And that's the danger he creates every time he brings it out in public. A moron like that should not even be allowed to own a dog, much less place his problem onto other people.

pitbulls have a bad name because some idiots use them as fighting dogs, the can be trained very well by good people.

Yeah like Galanis said, you should let the authorities handle it. If you see him call someone. It would really suck for you to get in an altercation where you might end up facing legal ramifications.

Confronting him might end up being as your avatar guy once said, a big fat pain in the balls.

My pit was great with people, toddlers, babies, didn't matter... but she would attack other animals on sight. She was a stray for a long time before i got her. I never let her off the chain and would avoid other dog walkers actively. That would have been irresponsible of me to unleash her. Some people are fuckheads, and I'm glad your daughter is ok.

I had to eventually give her away to relatives, but they own a farm and successfully integrated her with other animals. I miss her but I'm glad she is finally able to socialize with other dogs. He's a picture of her. Her name is Butter, and the chunky guy next to her is Rollie Boy.

interesting, the title shouldn't have been pitbulls, but "moron pitbull owner's".............my bad, and your point about them as dogs, my bjj instructor/coach used to have 2 and they were the nicest dogs in the world and used to hang out when were all practicing, no issues ever. I think my instructor/coach (he wanted to be called coach, but I felt like he was my instructor because I wasn't a professional fighter) kept them around in case I whipped his as- and he then had the ability to defend himself :) wishful thinking.........

Hey man, yes I did. I am wicked sorry for not sending a reply.. I have a bad habit of reading messages, marking them in my brain as "I'll reply to that later today" and then completely forgetting

But I read everything you sent and did pretty extensive research, well as much as I could find anyway, on the whole Yakuza/Japanese MMA situation. Thank you so much for all you shared! I will send you a reply tonight even though it's late.

I actually have 21 new messages in my inbox. Some are from over a month ago. But I really should get around to answering them right now, and I'm glad I saw this post as a reminder. Bad habit that I have to break - reading and forgetting to reply back.

Apologies again man. You can ask anyone on this board, I am horrible at answering on time (not just on here, in life period). I am trying hard to work on it tho, and will hit you up tonight. Thanks for posting this to remind me. Hope all is well dude.

Cool, I thought you'd enjoy the podcast archive. I'd have replied via the chat but don't know how to open it once it's closed.
