I'll go to the other place occasionally but my posting habits are far less. I was there since the beginning, it just steadily became more of an outlet for the dregs of society. As a result you had to be an asshole back most of the time. Very little MMA conversation there without somebody calling you an idiot and it devolving, very little off-topic conversation without the need to hate, cry or deliberately offend someone.
Became more of a haven for emotive basketcases or people who wanted to cry about something, while simultaneously claiming that it was everybody else doing the crying. Troll accounts created strictly to say things they couldn't say without being voted down with their normal accounts. Ugh
I just wondered where all the normal MMA fans were, they had to exist. This place seems like a good shot at it right now, I hope it stays that way.

I like that you can post pictures and videos for free on this site like every other forum on the internet. The other site is nice, its just that it became to much of a cash grab, making people pay for services that are free everywhere else. I can understand if they hosted pictures, but to not host anything and making people pay to just paste a link seemed a bit nutty to me.
Its tough to have a photoshop competition if everyone is posting links and waiting for a blue to come by and repost them all.

Forum looks good. Good base. Color scheme is easy to look at. You logo fits. Not too many sub-forums and the ones you have all make sense. Lots of these types of forums have come and gone, I hope that one of these days, one of them makes it. It could very well be this one based on what I see already. I can tell you have been smart about it.

Thanks brother! Lots of cool features here, that I think you'll love once you get familiar with them. Also doing a lot of fighter Q&A's and putting an emphasis on giving thse guys & girls a safe haven where they can interact with fans, or just shoot the shit, w/out dealing with a bunch of idiots. Slowly growing and building a lot of good relationships via Twitter. We are here for the long run
I've never lurked nor commented on any other forum. I probably have a user name but that's about it. From what I've seen of forums they're usually the same clique of folks that hang on mma Twitter that I avoid. I like fun, fight talk, and nice people.

I'm an 01er from there. I don't have an account anywhere else. Looked at sherdog a couple times that's it. There was a period of time that I left the ug/og. It was years. I didn't post, lurk, or even go to the address.
From 98-05 I had like 2300 posts. Fro 05-end of 13 was when I was absent. So like 7 years I didn't discuss MMA online anywhere. I don't use facebook, twitter or anything. So last year(14) I started reading/ posting again. My post count is like 4200 now. Most of my new posts are in one thread making light hearted outrageous claims for fun.
When you think about it, they have to be raking it in money wise. There are probably several thousands of blue names over there. Most of them don't even utilize the features that the pro account unlocks. I see a lot of blues that don't even know how to post a picture. If they paid to see after dark that's just silly. I think most people pay not to support the site or whatever. Its more of a social status thing. Hey look at me I'm blue, I'm cool. In my opinion that place is full of approval junkies. "Please like me(vote me up), recognized me, I'm special".
When I went back kirik flipped the switch and my name wasn't black anymore. It renewed a while back too for free. So I don't know what that's about. For that I was thank full because I actually do like to post occasional pictures/videos.
When I said raking it in, its just an observation. If they can make some cash good for them. But I would never pay for it.
I spend the vast majority of my forum time here. I like everyone here. Its been great reading posts from knowledgeable, respectful people. I go back only when its slow here. The format at this place has is far superior. We all know this.
To answer your question I think if you see a great topic/thread or whatever go ahead and share it here. I probably wouldn't have seen it there anyways. Also its not like I would ever think, "look who stole that to get credit" ect and so forth. I've actually thought of posting things from the OG that played out so people can enjoy it here. Actually I just did today. I made a thread about Bangkok Mexicans here. It was from last summer at the other spot. Like I said, its just to share and maybe someone would get a laugh. The Chinese Walmart thread I saw a while ago was pretty good. I think those who haven't seen the pictures from it would find it very fascinating.
TMC could always use more quality content I'm thinking. Your stuff is always top notch

@Frank Rizzo I never realized how cool you were on the other site but you definitely are. Also, I only remember registering on an mma site(mmafighting.net) back in 2000, and 98 I was 18-19 so I haven't met too many people that have been on mma forums for as long or longer than me. Respect to you sir.
How old are you if you don't mind me asking? I like this site more as well because I'm like you, ,I really like discussing mma and gaining other people's perspectives. I love it when I start talking about a subject that I don't feel strongly about but feel fairly knowledgeable about, and then someone educates me and influences me the other way. Steroid topic is one.
Anyways, I really love this site and the people and enjoy seeing people post. I like seeing regulars as well as new people. I am however very displeased there's no disagree button.
Thanks man. Its been fun getting to know everyone that posts here a little better too. Its easy to get lost in the masses at the other place. I'm 38 and its been fun watching/following the evolution of this whole thing. We're fortunate to been able to get in on it from the ground level so to speak. It makes me appreciate the history more than the newer casual type fan I think.

i came over from the OG cuz the ug is a bunch of buthurt crybaby trolls with their finger on the vtfd button. i still check the og from time to time and check evilyoshida.com daily but this is by far my favorite forum.our mma forum is great.you can actually have a discussion about mma without it turning into a argument about who is the biggest faggot or who lives in their moms basement.i joined redditt when the ug was becoming unuseable on fight nights and found this group to be awesome. i migrated over to this site and love it. r/mma is a great place to read articles but to follow convos forget it. good job to splinty and i wild each it .you guys have created a great forum with kickass features and all the good posters from the other site that are actually here for the mma and not the drama.

UGer and oger since 11. Lurked since maybe 10 or 09 (whenever vitor fought Franklin, that's what got me into mma, I had watched a bunch of earlier ones as a youngin back in the day with my dad)
Came here on invite and planned to use it as a backup for when the ug was down on fight nights but now only occasionally lurk there (only have lite app ) I sometimes check out the gamer ground too, I like video games
