With Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier already booked for UFC 226 on July 7 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, the promotion may be looking to add another champion vs. champion matchup.
According to a recent report by BJPenn.com’s Chris Taylor, UFC is working towards scheduling a co-main event superfight between UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson and UFC bantamweight king T.J. Dillashaw.
While the fight is unofficial at this time, it’s good to know that this is the matchup UFC is looking to make. Johnson has decimated the competition at 125 pounds en route to 11-straight flyweight title defenses and desperately needs a new test his next time out. Dillashaw, on the other hand, is coming off a blistering knockout victory over Cody Garbrandt at UFC 217 to reclaim the 135-pound throne and has been lobbying hard for a shot at “Mighty Mouse.”

T.J. posted this shot of himself on Instagram as a reminder that he can make flyweight:

If this proves to be true, then Demetrious is going to get PAID by banking on bigger names to sell a PPV, which he what he recently said he's willing to do.
