Not again
These were unsubstantiated rumors yesterday and I was hoping it was all fake.

I loved Rickey as a kid. Got a chance to meet him and he was a cool guy.

RIP to the greatest lead off hitter the game has known.

He was a great man that used his God-given thievery skills to steal bases instead of bicycles. I hope he's riding high in Heaven.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Henderson.

That sucks, really didn't watch baseball but loved watching his highlights. 65 is too young.
As a baseball player I learned a lot about base stealing from analysing his clips. I also learned some stuff about fielding from him.

Twins fan here and in the late 80's early 90's the A's were our rival but as a Twins fan I could appreciate Ricky's skills and entertaining persona.

I coached baseball years ago and would have my players emulate how Ricky would get his lead offs, how he would explosively push off and steal bases.

Great ball player!

Every now and again you here about how a husband and wife have been together for 40 - 50 years and as one dies, within hours or days the other goes....

Baseball left Oakland and with it went Ricky.

thanks for the memories Mr.Henderson.
