Give Rory MacDonald a “Just Bleed” t-shirt, a cold beer and enough mayhem to fill a late-'80s Jean-Claude Van Dammemovie.

The top UFC welterweight contender isn’t hip to all of the rules and regulations of modern-day MMA. If it were up to him, there would be headbutts, no time limit and kicks and knees to the head of a downed opponent.

It would be just like the good ol’ days, as MacDonald told The Fight Network:

I’d like that. It doesn’t play into fan-friendly things because guys get tired and it can drag on. You’ve seen that in the older UFCs with those rules. But yeah, I’m a purist kind of guy. I like knees to the head on the ground, kicks to the head on the ground, headbutts. I think those are all really good tools for human body weapons. I think those are important....

That'd be cool, a once a year event that's a throw back to ufc 1

I'd be down for everything we saw in the early UFC's with an exception to nut shots, eye gauging, fish hooking...I think thats it haha.
Fish hooking is a legit technique. With hands low fake the low front kick and shoot in for a sloppy single, side control transition to back control, insert finger then fish hook until tap is felt, collect belt and riches....

If Rory is set up with Bellator is there a chance he can fight for Rizin in Japan and get some PRIDE rules? Get him in a OWGP Ffs!

I wonder what he could weigh in at and still feel good. Anywhere near 200lbs seems good imo.
yeah I'm guessing big time but I think a UFC WW walk around weight is exactly around that. guys that are semi giants walking on the street but are not very tall.
