it was his anti-boxing that made him, much more than his speed or reflexes. A savante of strategy, playing his opponent's side of the chess board.

but let's all hope he retires.

No it was just a terrible event filled with padded fights that made no sense to anyone who doesn't want to see squash matches. The commentary was atrocious (I normally don't mind TJ De Santis but his partner was down right awful) and the fights were just as bad. I actually turned it off before the end of the RJJ fight since I just couldn't take anymore of it.

I had to do a double take as thought the event was boxing only and my ??????? Was meant to mean “is this correct?”

It was a hybrid event with MMA and boxing. One of the MMA fights was Alex Nicholson's (former UFC guy) wife who also trains at the same gym my wife does for BJJ. That was the other fight we wanted to see that wasn't streamed :|
