19 fights in the UFC, and the only person who could knock Roy out was Hunt.

Bellator is a good place for guys like him and Phil Davis. Good fighters with decent name recognition but just never going to be good enough to be a UFC champ.

Cliffs: I never got any respect from the egg, despite being one of the most exciting fighters in my division, so he can fuck an ostrich.

Honest question for everyone... when's the last time that Roy was actually exciting? Because all that I can really remember is him gassing after 3 minutes and plodding around winging right hands for 15 minutes. He was fun for a while right after TUF... But that was years ago

It's good that fighters have a second option besides the UFC to make money.

BTW this really pours water on the antitrust lawsuit claiming UFC is a monopoly lol

Last time I was genuinely excited is when he almost killed Big Nog, April of 2014. Bitter sweet moment but he threw some huge bombs, I love that shit.

His fight with Reem was amazing. He ate countless Über knees and just kept coming.

His KO over Bigfoot was fun but the after math got more attention. Basically every fight that he won via KO (14 of them) is a fun fight to watch. Laid out guys like Schaub, Kongo, Mitrione, Herman, Struve... I'm a fan

Roy's not UFC champ material but his highlight reel is pretty good.

Yeah... Big Nog is it. That was an exciting fight and I was pumped for it even though I was worried that Roy would violently KO Nog.

Bigfoot isn't fun. That was painful. That man needs hormones to be normal and without them it's just ugly watching him getting murdered.

Watching Reem knee him to death wasn't exciting but it was pretty wild to watch him take them.

But generally speaking he turned into a super 1 dimensional fighter that just plodded around taking punishment for the last few years.

I wish him well in Bellator but I can't say that I'm excited to see him fight anymore.

Could this not sum up the vast majority of HWs ever especially ones in the twilight of those career?

First off ill always be a fan of HW so I'm not shitting on it. Having said that the o ly guys I can think who had/have footwork worth mentioning would be Stipe, Airlovski, Cain, maybe Couture and a few others. Everyone knows what you're getting with the big fellas and plodding movement comes with the territory.

For your last comment I agree. I still like Roy but I wouldn't use the word excited at this point.
