"Compete under the Olympic flag" sounds like a great way to obtain just as many medals, give russia bragging rights that it would normally have, a reason to scoff the system and "show" their athletes don't cheat, a talking point about being targeted, plus the last laugh

Yeah on one hand I say good riddance, but I can't help notice the hypocricy of the IOC.

But then again...

Listening to Brian Fogel, who produced Icarus on JRE #1019 was eye-opening for me, as was watching the documentary. It is clear that Russia has brought the doping game to a new level, but by far they are one of the many, many countries that have some sort of program for their athletes.
