season 3 was probably the worst season of arrow so far.season 4 premiered today wasn't bad but it doesn't bring anything new or exciting to the table might be the last season I watch.

Yeah this forum doesn't get much love :(

Season 3 was poor. Prefer Daredevil, Gotham and even Flash.

Arrow has gone downhill in my estimation, but I'll binge it sometime.
The Flash is fun, I'm going to jump in season 2 now.

I quit watching after like episode three this season I might netflix it in the future, but I have lost interest, season 1 arrow was a badass who killed without mercy and he has been pussified over the seasons

My love for Oliver Queen keeps me watching.

I'm waiting for:

But, yknow, he'd first have to meet Hal, become besties, go through all those stories, die, come back and explain all that, etc, and then, maybe, they can do this.

I doubt I'll ever see any of that.

Yeah, they've definitely sanded off the edges to make him more palatable as a hero to a broader viewing public. My issue is that in doing so he's been made a dull character who only reacts to baddie of the week, insert manufactured melodrama, commercial break, beat baddie, look pensive, done. Repeat next week. His character has no character. If I remember in the Comics at various points he was funny or a social justice warrior, there was something other than being a bland, poorer, less broody batman. I'm not looking for boxing glove arrows, just a hook to guarantee interest.
This extension of themes from batman begins of a dying city feels like lazy writing to me. League of assassins, Damien dahrke, over it. The writers have spun off to three other superheroes shows so it's not surprising quality could suffer I suppose. There is always a chance they could refocus.
Ideal ending: flash foreword Oliver getting his arm chopped off by twin laser beams, cut to black.

Introducing the green lantern corps would be very interesting, though I would worry they may be overpowered for the world state as it currently exists. As I type this I'm thinking a lantern show would be more interesting than an atom/captain cold/whomever else is coming up in the new program.

I definitely agree.

The show is too light hearted. I don't like that it seems so easy going.
I kind of hope they kill Felicity off so he can brood and kill again.

I see where you're coming from. Personally I don't need a bunch of broody killing or wacky slapstick. I just dislike the non-commital middle road best of both worlds, please nobody approach.
To me, the flash was enjoyable because of the lack of brood and angst. And it fits the comic.
Gotham is super dark, but they embrace it and it fits with the tone of the source material.
The DC movies all are trying to be very dark unnecessarily, The last handful of Superman movies have been unappealing to me.
I wish entertainment companies would embrace quality writers instead of marketing departments and accountants. I believe if you make a quality product then market it creatively you can do just as well as when everything is dictated by suits.
