Site blocked at work

UG and Reddit work fine at work, but TMMAC is blocked. Reason given is because the site is "Uncategorized".

Any way we could categorize it?

It's uncategorized by the firewall company.
We usually are flagged as a sports site and then it just depends on the company rules if they allow it.

Itll either happen with time now that we continue to grow and have some categorizing by search engines or itll have to bed manually done by your work admins.

I will also contact websense and see if I can get them to categorize us as such to help this process

I gotcha, thanks. I'm usually on my phone, but since I couldn't watch the fights and chat at the same time, I tried the computer at work.

I've been notified by the firewall maker that our site will be moved into the sports category with their next update. If your company gets real time updates, it might have already happened

We use websense as well but I haven't been blocked using Chrome. Sometimes it is more lax on blocking than if I use Firefox.

I'm plenty nerdy!
I work a LOT and most of my time is spent in medicine. This site is a labor of love.

I'm also dedicated to tasks lists and focusing on big fish first. Websense is such a big firewall company that one move might help hundreds and pay dividends for every new user in the same position. Easy fix, lots of gain. Gets priority

Seriously if you are putting in all this effort you need to get paid at some point because love don't pay the bills even its tshirt, pyjama gis for bed (had that idea forever) heat changing mugs, air freshener for the car, anything!

Haha,man, we appreciate the support.
We aren't perfect but we are trying create a niche out of a higher quality experience and culture that's a little more "adult" where we can.
We do have some fund raising strategies (see that ad on the main page sidebar?) but want to provide services and keep things from being obtrusive.

The other strategy is keep overhead low. Low overhead is freedom and asking for less on the financial front.

we use Websense but have a continue option after the initial block. I guess this site is necessary to my healthcare job. stops me from snapping on nosey fat people

Moved in my new cubicle and set up my computer, the site is no longer blocked so I'm not setting off triggers! Yay Splinty!
