i teach a class and I used to use Boise for an exercise where I needed 'a place no one wants to go'.

then I had to go teach the class in Boise. Twice.
But I really enjoyed the town, just enough big city without trying to be big city - and Fork was good eatin'.

now I use Detroit for 'a place no one wants to go.'

Yep, that place is awesome...Love it
Sandpoint is also cool.

We drive through them a few times a year on our way to NW Montana...we do hikes and check the towns and area the whole drive. Coeur d'Alene is one of the coolest, the Idaho stretch is sweet as a whole. I do wonder what the rest of the state is like also.


Wouldn't mind getting a place in the woods on the outskirts of one of those Cool Towns.
