Some of these remakes are good. I thought the Total Recall remake was good, it just should have been rated R. The Robocop remake made the same mistake, iirc, it wasn't bad but was limited by its rating.

Besides Salem's Lot, Carrie, Firestarter, The Shining, Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, Misery, The Mist, Stand by me, Christine, Pet Cemetary and Cujo every other film adaption sucks. They don't follow the source material and go off the rails. Tv movies have done better with the Stand and Langoliers then the other bullshit.

11/22/63 upset me it was so bad. Imo it's easily his best book and maybe my favorite period of any genre Show was dog shit.
