If you are talking about accuracy I'm just going to take a wild guess that he did not have a biracial family with a black wife in the book written in 1982.read the damn book, it's not long
Lol, who cares. Does the wife of the characters race play any part whatsoever? If you are talking about accuracy I'm just going to take a wild guess that he did not have a biracial family with a black wife in the book written in 1982.
They never even mention if Ben Richards is black or white. If you are talking about accuracy I'm just going to take a wild guess that he did not have a biracial family with a black wife in the book written in 1982.
This isn't a film remake like the others.Probably the only Arnold movie I've never seen.
Some of these remakes are good. I thought the Total Recall remake was good, it just should have been rated R. The Robocop remake made the same mistake, iirc, it wasn't bad but was limited by its rating.
This. It's inconsequential. They never even mention if Ben Richards is black or white.
You are dead to me. That movie was fucking awful.thought the Total Recall remake was good
I was so highly disappointed in itLike KVR said, read the book.
You'll wonder why they ever did the Arnold film.
The book was dark as fuck and post-apocalyptic. Far better than the 80s glitz and glam gameshow crap.
SO looking forward to this, I hope they include the blue balls sceneThey're doing The Long Walk as well. And it looks fucking good.
Garrity is exactly as I pictured him.
I'm going to have to reread this book. It's been 30+ years. I remember it was one of my favorites.SO looking forward to this, I hope they include the blue balls scene

I don't care that his family is biracial I was just pointing out that they are making things up in this movie tooLol, who cares. Does the wife of the characters race play any part whatsoever?
Provided that zero attention within the film is called to her race then its nothing, it does not matter.
Also, white bros have been marrying black ladies and ladies of all varieties since the dawn of time. This did not start on or around the 1980s and because of that fact the author could have absolutely written about a biracial couple in 1982 and many people would not have taken any special notice at all.
It is way more accurate. Then the Arnold one. I believe that's what the op was referencing.I don't care that his family is biracial I was just pointing out that they are making things up in this movie too
This remake doesn't look accurate at all if they are taking liberties with the characters races, ethnicity etc. not that I care but OP said it is more accurate when it is not.
King took Rage out of publication decades back because he was concerned that numerous shooters appeared to be inspired by it. No way he ever greenlights a movie adaptation.I would love to see a good adaption of Rage from the Bachman Books, roadwork was my least favorite of the four stories but that would be a great film as well if it was done correctly.
yeah, then he wrote an essay about guns because of itKing took Rage out of publication decades back because he was concerned that numerous shooters appeared to be inspired by it. No way he ever greenlights a movie adaptation.
Race was never mentioned in the book.I don't care that his family is biracial I was just pointing out that they are making things up in this movie too
